Negotiations have been suspended solely because of SDSM’s disagreement regarding the media that we need to ensure censorship will not be introduced, VMRO-DPMNE says in response to Thursday's press conference of Petre Silegov from SDSM where he accused the negotiations are suspended because of the ruling party VMRO-DPMNE.
"VMRO-DPMNE today proposed an explicit support of the position that neither journalists nor the media can be punished for an expressed position or opinion. A position which is a basic postulate and a basic principle in the code of journalists where freedom of the media is undeniable. In 21st century in Europe, SDSM is the only political party that opposes these principles", the statement reads.
Not one lie or manipulation told by Petre Silegov, the statement added, will not hide the shame of SDSM which was drawn into the open and practically proved that their ultimate purpose is the introduction of censorial control over the media.
