The migrant crisis has unearthed the fragility of countries and their interdependence on international level, Macedonia's Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki said Thursday at a meeting of Central European Initiative (CEI) in Bosnia's city of Banja Luka.
The crisis is far from over and hence it should be one of the top priorities of the CEI Action Plan, Popovski said.
"Migratory movements are a complex phenomenon we may successfully deal with if only sticking together EU members and candidates under a solid longterm strategy," Poposki said.
On the event's sidelines, Poposki held talks with his Italian, Austrian and Hungarian counterparts Paolo Gentiloni, Sebastian Kurz and Peter Szijjarto respectively. The talks were focused on Macedonia's EuroAtlantic prospects, bilateral cooperation and migrant crisis-related challenges, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
