The Spaniard looked like he is in fantastic shape in the first two matches at the French Open, losing just nine gems in duels with Sam Groth and Facundo Banis, but at the press conference in Paris, he revealed that he cannot continue.
He added that the first pain he felt was at his win in the quarterfinals over Joao Sousa in Madrid and that the problem was only getting worse.
"I came here with a little pain, but it was something that I could stand, but every day is worse and worse. I spent many hours working to play. Yesterday I played with an injection, with anesthetics, but during the night I had pain and this morning I could not move my wrist. My hand was x-rayed and the results were not positive. It is not broken, but if I continue to play I will break it in the coming days", Nadal revealed.
