Parliamentary Committee on Election and Appointment late Friday afternoon approved the composition of the Commission to assess the merits of the proposal for the accountability of the President Gjorge Ivanov for his decision to pardon, submitted by the opposition.
The composition was passed by seven votes "in favor" and three "against". The Commission will be comprised of 11 members. Chairman of the Committee will be the VMRO-DPMNE MP Zoran Ilioski, and this caucus will have five members, two members each from DUI and SDSM, and one member from DPA.
The decision to create this Commission on Monday will be on the agenda of the parliamentary session. If the decision is passed by the Parliament,the Commission in seven days has to prepare a report on the merits of the opposition's proposal and submit it to the Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanovski. Then he should schedule a new session that will debate the report and the responsibility of the President. The draft decision of the opposition requires a two-thirds majority in order to be passed.
