During a routine control late on Wednesday, a police patrol discovered 12 migrants in a Lada Niva jeep, on the regional Gevgelija-Smrdliva Voda road.
Of those, eleven were Syrians and one Iraqi, said the Ministry of Interior.
The driver managed to escape.
The vehicle was registered to a 60-year-old person from the village of Stojakovo. The migrants and the vehicle have been transferred to Bogorodica police station for further processing.
