SDSM leader Zoran Zaev accompanied by Blagoj Bocvarski, a member of the party’s executive board, met Friday with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Macedonia Willem Wouter Plomp.
The meeting was focused on the current political crisis in Macedonia, the decision for holding elections on June 5 and the pardoning decision of President Gjorge Ivanov, SDSM said in a press release.
Zaev said that they (the party) will not participate nor will allow June 5 elections to be held because they would be irregular. Regular elections could be possible if the electoral roll was purged and media reforms are completed, he underlined.
They jointly concluded that violation of the Przino Agreement leads the country to risky and harmful consequences. President Ivanov’s decision for pardoning and granting abolition was assessed as an intrusion into the legal order at the level of a coup d'état and it must be withdrawn, and Ivanov must leave office.
