An independent group of volunteers has opened a school for migrant children and refugees at Idomeni, ANA-MPA reports.

On the sign in front of the big tent that poses as a school, it says 'Idomeni Cultural Center', and classes are held every day. The teachers are migrants who studied mathematics, science and foreign languages.

According to MIA, the volunteers are trying to teach the children languages such as English and German, which will be useful to them in the future.

"Most of the kids, due to the war, do not know how to read or write. There are 11 or 12-year-old children who have never went to school, the volunteers stated and added that they need notebooks or paper, pencils and books in Arabic because the number of children which are willing to study is increasing by the day.
