SDSM president Zoran Zaev urged the citizens on Thursday to protest peacefully, while police forces to refrain from using excessive force.
"These people are our policemen and we need to take care of them, but at the same time our policemen should not use excessive force because these are our citizens who have the right to their feelings and reactions", said Zaev at the signing of the 'Platform for Democratic Macedonia' by DOM party.
He announced his attendance at Thursday's protests organized by NGOs.
"I again call for peaceful protests, taking care of our Macedonia", added Zaev.
He voiced satisfaction from the rising number of signatories of the 'Platform for Democratic Macedonia'.
"By supporting this document, DOM is sending a serious message regarding its values and principles", underlined Zaev.
