In the action titled "Lux" Albanian police during the day in cities across the country seized nineteen luxury cars.
In the action arrested are eleven people, all Albanian citizens, as organizers and partners, in international trade in stolen vehicles.
According to the Police the seized vehicles are stolen in Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy and France, and in Albania with modified frame numbers were entered through the border crossing "Khan Hoti" at the Albanian-Montenegrin border. Once they passed the customs they were receiving regular car license plates.
The cars were seized in Saranda, in Tirana in Lach and Shkodra.
Prosecutors said that after receiving information in the police Commissioner in Shkodra the investigation began in February.
The investigation will be expanded in cooperation with other countries in the region and the border crossing "Khan Hoti" in order to examine how stolen vehicles could pass and be cleared.
