The self-employment project brought about major successes and it will continue to be realized in the future. Through it, around 7,800 people managed to get non-returnable grants for self-employment, and this year EUR 3 million will be allocated for the self-employment of about 3,000 people, VMRO-DPMNE President Nikola Gruevski said.
"The project for self-employment will continue with its realization. So far, it has been very productive. Up till now, 7,800 people managed to get non-returnable grants for self-employment and most of them took advantage of the grants with success. So, this project will continue. This year, sometime in January, 500 such grants were allocated, and in the coming period, sometime in April or May there will be a public announcement for allocating over 420 grants. So, nearly a 1,000 grants will be allocated this year alone, which means that there will be a 1,000 new employments, or about EUR 3 million of direct investment in new job positions, i.e. creating opportunities for self-employment", Gruevski said while he attended the opening of an art exhibit sponsored by the Ministry of Culture.
He pointed out this is a project of VMRO-DPMNE's Government, which previously did not exist, but because of its great results, will continue with realization.
"So far, it has been very successful and it will continue to be enforced with the support of people who have ideas and projects on how to create small businesses for self-employment. The grants of EUR 3,000, or EUR 4,000 for certain categories will persist in the future. This year alone EUR 3 million will be invested", Gruevski stated.
