Pediatric hospital in Kozle has received a new spirometer, a donation of cement and building materials company Cementarnica USJE - Skopje.

The director of the pediatric hospital in Kozle, Oliver Zafirovski expressed his gratitude for the donation, which as he said, is of tremendous importance for the children. He pointed that the new device will represent another benefit in increasing the quality invasive methods of measuring the function of children's lungs.

"This implies better and more accurate diagnosis, suitable treatment, and improving the life quality of all children in Macedonia," Zafirovski said.
He said that the past several days, all children struggling with allergies are a part of their program, and are permanently monitored.

"Allergies have increased on a global level. There is no human that has not had any allergic manifestation. That is why this device is of extreme significance because we can follow the lung function and that helps our accurate diagnosis. If they are not monitored, the complications with allergies can lead to chronic lung disease, asthma," Zafirovski added.

Magdalena Slavejkova, representative of Cementarnica USJE, said the company is proud because the idea for a donation came from its employees, who with their voluntarism and care for the community have contributed for the purchase of the device.

"The purchase of this device is the best way to end the first stage of our action 'No Cars to Work'. By raising those funds we purchased the device, and that way we have shown how much the employees care for their own health and for the environment," Slavejkova said.
