
The Parliament Committee on Finances and Budget will meet on Wednesday to discuss the implementation of the 2015 budget. The final budgetary calculations were made available by the Parliament, and they indicate that, out of MKD 166,84 billion (EUR 2,72 billion) that were planned, 161,17 were collected through taxes and other sources of income.
Central Government spending for 2015 amounted to MKD 180.63 billion (EUR 2,9 billion), below projections of 186,98 billion. Deficit stood at MKD 19,46 billion (EUR 311 million) and debt repayment on principal was MKD 28,42 billion (EUR 465 million).
Several other Parliament Committees meet on Wednesday. The Committee on Elections and Appointments meets to dismiss a Parliament Deputy Secretary General and to appoint members of the Council that organizes the commemoration of the Krusevo Republic and the Ilinden Uprising. The Committee on Defense and Security meets to discuss proposed changes to the law on police, which are being made through a shortened procedure, and would set rules for using recording devices by the police in order to reduce abuse.
