On Monday, French authorities evacuated a makeshift camp in the northern part of Paris, in which around 2,000 migrants lived in tents for approximately 2 weeks, French media report.

The first migrants, which were taken out of the camp on Monday morning, were put on buses which will transport them to around 60 centers around Paris, including empty sports halls.

The action was difficult to carry out due to the people's disorderly conduct. They were afraid to get on the buses in fear that there would not be enough available seats.

Most of the migrants are from Afghanistan, Sudan, Eritrea.

'We should increase accommodation capacities across France because Paris cannot cope with all of them', French Minister of Housing and sustainable Habitat Emmanuelle Cosse said.

According to data by local authorities, this is the 23rd operation of this kind organized in Paris since June, 2015.
