Macedonia's President Gjorge Ivanov has congratulated the start of the Ramadan month to the chief of the Islamic Religious Community, Reis Suleyman Rexhepi, the members of the Riaset and all the members of the Islamic faith in Macedonia.
"Ramadan is the holiest month in Islam, a month of lent, prayer, solidarity and compassion. The fasting days are an opportunity to show generosity and to help the poor, with hope for compassion, good fortune and pardoning the sins before the gates of heaven. During the month that celebrates the spiritual and physical cleansing, I wish that all the believers of the Islamic faith, to remind themselves of the blessings of the great saint, through their religion, commitment and prayer, and to share those with their families and closest friends," Ivanov said in his greeting note.
I deeply hope that through the lent's temptation, the believers of the Islamic religion will reach toward the highest values - patience, restraint, discipline and wisdom, the chief of state adds.
"In the spirit of the holiday, I wish you easy Ramdan fasting. I wish peace, wellbeing, love and forgiveness to all members of the Islamic faith in the country," Ivanov added.
