Three cases of family violence were reported in Bitola last month, involving men attacking their current and ex wives, and one man beating up his mother.
The Interior Ministry's sector in Bitola has filed criminal charges against 46-year-old Lj.T. from Bitola because of reasonable doubts he has committed the offense of inflicting bodily injuries. On April 19 around 7:30 pm, the reported individual. who was then under the influence of alcohol, started an argument with his wife. Her son from her first marriage made an effort to break them apart, but in that moment, the intoxicated man punched him under the right eye.
The second reported case involves a Bitola resident who threatened his former wife with a knife, saying he would kill her.
The Interior Ministry's sector in Bitola has also filed criminal charges against V.D. aged 50 for reasonable doubts he has committed the offense of endangering safety. On April 24, around 4:00 pm, the reported individual went inside the bedroom of his former wife, woke her up by screaming and threatened to kill her with a kitchen knife. Then he started dragging her through the hallway, but their son came and attempted to separate them. The reported individual fell in the hallway and then called the police.
On April 12, it was reported at the Bitola police station that 34-year-old S.R. was shouting at his mother because she had previously reported him for cases involving family violence. He asked for money, but when she told him she did not have any, he started punching her and locked her in her bedroom. A criminal charge has been pressed against the man for inflicting physical injuries and for illegally depriving his mother from freedom.
