Albanian capital Tirana hosts the NATO Parliamentary Assembly for a discussion on tackling Russia's aggressive posture, terrorism and mass migration.
The event chaired by US Representative Michael Turner brings together 250 members of 28 member state parliaments, to help prepare for the NATO Summit in Warsaw.
The Assembly calls on NATO members to improve their defensive capabilities and act preventively, and to prepare a comprehensive security strategy for northern Africa and the Middle East.
NATO also discusses improving cooperation with the European Union.
