Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) leader Ali Ahmeti met Friday in Skopje with Christian Danielsson, Director General for Enlargement at the European Commission, and EU Ambassador Aivo Orav.
Ahmeti and Danielsson exchanged opinions on recent developments in Macedonia, implementation of Przino Agreement and reforms.
Ahmeti said that DUI urges for immediate return of the work of the parliament, postponement of elections, changes to the Law on Pardons and providing guarantees for the work of the Special Public Prosecutor. In the next urgent steps DUI will be fully committed in implementation of the reforms which emerge as obligation from our Euro-Atlantic partners and our work to be assessed accordingly.
DUI is fully committed in relation to reform agenda in line with Euro-Atlantic aspirations and expectations of our friends in Brussels and Washington. The agenda should be comprehensive and to gain support of the entire society for the country to prepare credible elections, DUI’s press release reads.
