Hundreds of participants in the protest against the law on labor in Paris separated from the thousands of protesters and began to make barricades out of containers and started throwing bottles at police, who responded with tear gas. In the incident nine people were injured, after which the protest continued peacefully.

Thousands of dock workers on Thursday blocked one of the main oil terminals in France, located in the city of Le Havre, after which they gathered in the square in front of the city hall throwing smoke bombs in protest over proposed reforms regarding their work. Everywhere in France on Thursday are held many strikes, protests and blockades due to the disputed law of labor, and the trade unionists since the early morning burned tires and blocked the main bridge in Le Havre.

In Cherbourg, strikers blocked access to the docks and in Perpignan barricades were placed on the highway A-9 towards Spain. Five of the eight French refineries remain blocked. Employees in the 19 nuclear power plants joined the strike.

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls, on Thursday said he would not abandon reforms in the sphere of labor relations, but that there is possibility for their change "for the better", but did not specify what the possible changes would be. Changes in the new Labor Law, which provide an extension of the current 35-hour workweek and easier dismissal of employees, are causing protests and a wave of strikes for weeks in France.
