A resident of the village of Sum, 59-year-old I.R., threatened an Albanian citizen temporarily staying in Struga with a knife, but inflicted her with several injuries.
The police station in Struga has pressed criminal charges against the man due to reasonable doubts he has committed the crime of 'jeopardizing another person with a dangerous tool during a fight or a row'.
The reported individual, according to the Interior Ministry's sector in Ohrid spokesman, Stefan Dimoski, on March 20, around noon, headed toward the home of the Albanian citizen, the 54-year-old B.C., with the intention of having his loan settled by her son. He started ringing the doorbell and hitting the apartment's door, when a verbal argument erupted between the two men regarding the debt.
At the moment when her son stepped out of the apartment, the reported person took out a knife and tried to attack him. Then, a fight took place when the mother managed to stand between the two men in the purpose of defending her son.
While the dispute was taking place, she was attacked by I.R., who hit her several times in the head and then fleed the scene.
