The reconstruction of the second block in dormitory "Goce Delcev" takes place with excellent dynamics, as 50 percent of the process is already completed and I look forward to the end of September to be completely renovated, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Spiro Ristovski said.
He performed na insight of the implementation of construction works on the reconstruction and renovation of Block A in the dormitory "Goce Delcev" in Skopje.
"The entire process is conducted from the 14th floor moving downwards. Now we are somewhere in the middle of the dormitory with a fully reconstructed installation for electricity, installation of heating and setting up windows", Ristovski said.
He reminded that with the reconstruction, students who should be accommodated in the next year will have a far better living conditions and realization of their studies.
"During yesterday we signed an agreement with a company, which, in the summer , should end with a complete renovation and change of elevators in all student dormitories, particularly in Skopje", Ritovski said.
Asked about the announced activities for the construction of new dormitories, Ristovski answered that they are in a phase of evaluation of the bids and will soon choose a company which will begin the construction of two dormitories "Nevena Georgieva Dunja" in Skopje and dormitory within Tetovo university.
Director of the dormitory "Goce Delcev" Daniela Temelkova said that the dormitory has an accommodation capacity for 1,200 students, and the block A which is currently being restructured has 314 beds.
