The EU Integration parliamentary committee is scheduled to discuss the draft proposal on the action plan, prepared by the Macedonian Government, on implementing recommendations stated in the urgent reform priorities report.
These recommendations were raised in the report prepared by the German expert Reinhard Priebe and the European Commission, following the 2015 wiretapping affair.
The committee will discuss the activities that the Government has proposed to take.
The suggestions include measures in terms of oversight of the security services, rule of law reforms, media reforms and a host of other moves.
The parliamentary Committee on Political System and Relations Between Communities will also hold a hearing on Tuesday over the proposed changes to the Criminal Code.
The proposals oblige prosecutors to inform the defense of the actions they have undertaken. These changes are proposed by VMRO-DPMNE and DUI, MPs Svetlana Jakimovska and Musa Ibraimi respectively.
