
At least 22 people were killed in two new attacks by car bombs in Baghdad, Iraqi police said.
The first car exploded at the entrance of the al-Kadhimiya district, with a mainly Shiite population. The attack killed 15 people and left 33 wounded. The second car bomb exploded in the district al-Jamia, western Baghdad, killing seven people and injuring 20. Still no one took responsibility for the attacks.
During the day a pick-up truck with explosives, exploded in Baghdad's Shi'ite district of Sadr, killing 64 people and left dozens wounded. For this attack the jihadist group Islamic State took responsibility.
