Macedonia's Cinematheque Presents April's Program

Cinematheque of Macedonia will kick off Friday evening the April program with a screening of the French film "Skylab" (2011) directed by Julie Delpy.

The Cinematheque of Macedonia celebrates this month (April 27) its 40th anniversary.

Its main scopes of activity and tasks are acquiring, collecting, storing, preservation and presentation of national but also of foreign audiovisual heritage.

On this occasion, the Cinematheque of Macedonia will present 'Golden Lens' Award for outstanding contribution to Macedonian cinematography to a Macedonian author, while the audience will have the opportunity to watch resorted films 'Hi­Fi' by Vladimir Blazevski, 'Thirst' by Dimitrie Osmanli and 'Dad' (We Are Cursed Irina) by Kole Angelovski.

The Cinematheque of Macedonia, in cooperation with the Philosophical Society of Macedonia, is also organizing Philosophical Film Festival which will be held from April 7 to 9 and will include screening of the films "A Man And a Woman" by Claude Lelouch, 'Kasaba' by Nuri Bilge Ceylan and '12 Angry Men' by Sidney Lumet.

Skopje Film Festival is also aprt of the April film program, including screening of Taiwanese films from April 22 to 30.
