Almost 90 percent of refugees in Turkey are living outside of the refugee camps and that situation is concerning, spokesperson of the United Nations World Food Program Bettina Luescher stated.
"We are worried about the situation in Turkey, where most of the refugees are Syrian. We are mostly concerned about the food situation and about it getting worse, she said and added that about 90 percent of the refugees are living outside the camps and they are unemployed.
Luescher pointed out that it is urgent to determine the most vulnerable categories of citizens so they can be provided with help.
According to her, the United Nations World Food Program is working together with the Turkish Red Crescent and they are providing help to over 250,000 Syrians who are in need.
