
Consultations with law experts for finding a possible legal solution in terms of the declaration for pardoning-acquittal without carrying out a procedure, are ongoing, said Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov Thursday.
"As I announced in my last speech, regarding the requests for withdrawal of the decision for pardoning-acquittal of persecution without carrying out a procedure, the consultations with law experts for finding a possible legal solution, are ongoing," President Ivanov said in a written statement.
Of the consultations so far, with the law experts in the country, Ivanov informed that they have not found a legal base to revoke the decision.
He urges leaders of political partiessignatories of the Przino agreement, to engage in the process and offer a legal solution in compliance with the Constitution and the country's laws.
"As always, I will proceed exclusively in line with the Constitution and the laws", adds Ivanov.
Pertaining to the protests, he says no one has been deprived of the right to voice dissatisfaction from decisions by state institutions.
"However, I urge for restraint from violation of public order and destruction of private and state-owned property", stresses Ivanov.
He underlines that Macedonia has always found solutions to challenges and crises through dialogue within institutions, guided by the citizens and state's interest.
