The presidents of Austria and the European Commission, Heinz Fischer and Jean-Claude Juncker respectively, and the prime ministers of Georgia and Turkey, Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Ahmet Davutogly, are the key figures who are to address the spring session of the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly (PACE).

The national parliaments of 47 member states of the Council of Europe are represented in the Parliamentary Assembly. The refugee/migrant crisis in Europe is one of the main topics on the agenda.

According to the announcements, the discussion will be focused on Europe's responses to the refugee crisis in Syria, the human rights of migrants in the Western Balkan countries, as well as the new stakes and challenges arising from the so-called economic migrants. Among the other topics on the PACE's agenda are the evaluation of the measures on improving the political representation of women - a debate in which Italy's Minister for Constitutional Reforms and Parliamentary Relations, Elena Boschi, will take part.

The Council of Europe members may also debate on children's radicalization, humanitarian care for persons trapped in Ukraine during the military conflict there, the urgent public health management and the international range of the anti-Semitism fight in Europe.
