Rescue teams are continuing with their search for survivors at the Japanese village of Minamiaso, where there were landslides as a result of the earthquakes which hit Japan over the last few days.
The two strong earthquakes from Thursday and Friday that struck the island Kyushu, after which many aftershocks followed, resulted in 42 persons dead and over 1,100 injured, 208 very seriously.
According to local authorities, 9 people are registered as missing.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe assured that rescue teams are not going to give up efforts in finding survivors.
"There are still missing people and we will do everything in our power to find them", Abe said.
Over 110,000 people were evacuated from the province Kumamoto. About 25,000 soldiers, firemen, doctors and rescuers are engaged in the region, where about a dozen villages were destroyed.
