Municipalities Kumanovo, Lipkovo and Staro Nagoricane employed a total of 874 persons Through the project "Macedonia employs ", reported Friday officials from the Employment Center in Kumanovo.
According to the center, largely micro and small enterprises took advantage of the project, which ended yesterday, mostly through trade and service activities, as did medium manufacturing companies. Until yesterday, the companies were able to submit another request and hire one more or several people without paying taxes.
'With this project, the companies redistributed its funds for other needs such as expanding production capacities, purchasing of raw materials or investments. The unemployed also benefited by getting a job, while the companies saved money for paying benefits' - said the head of the Kumanovo Employment Center, Milorad Trencevski .
He reminded that the benefit of not paying taxes depended on the age of the unemployed person, so companies that employed young people under 35 were given exemption from payment of contributions for a period of three years, for employment of people 35 to 55 of age, the exemption is for a period of five years and for those over 55 exemption from payment of contributions is up to their retirement.
Previously, through the project "Employment of young people under 29" in Kumanovo Employment Center 661 people got employed. In total, the two projects in Kumanovo employed 1,535 persons.
