Some of the ambassadors acted beyond the frames of their mandates stipulated in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, President Gjorge Ivanov said in an interview with several TV networks.
"We don't wish to incite a conflict with the countries of their origin, but I've told them in my traditional New Year's address that they should be cautious about their activities to avoid being misunderstood. Ambassadors come and go. Our problems remain, as it is the case with habits and precedents that others could also apply them. They may have been doing this in times when we didn't have a state, or our own parties, institutions and constitution. But today this is impermissible," Ivanov said.
I've said in my address on the pardoning decision that ambassadors are waltzing through our courts, while getting phone instructions about what should be done, Ivanov said.
"I have entered this venture with sincere intentions and wish to come of it in the same manner," Ivanov said.
Ivanov said he wishes the Przino Agreement, party leaders and international community to stand behind the activities of the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPO).
"But those functioning beyond the Przino Agreement, the consent of party leaders and the international community should tell us who is really behind SPO. Time will reveal the truth. Nothing remains secret in Macedonia," Ivanov said.
Referring to the forthcoming elections, Ivanov said that those who wish the process not to be organized actually violate the Przino Agreement, notifying that everybody who has taken an obligation must realize it.
"I've taken an oath to protect the Constitution and laws and I'll keep doing it," the President said.
