Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski urged the citizens on Thursday to hold peaceful and no nviolent protests.

"Everyone has the right to peaceful and democratic expression of their views, revolt and dissatisfaction, but this must be non violent and peaceful, befitting a democracy. In this regard, I call for restraint from violence at the protests, as well as restraint from destruction of property and attacks to the police", said Spasovski after Thursday's meeting with the Skopje police chief and staff involved in securing the protests.

He urged citizens to treat the police as partners and guardians of their safety.

"It is normal for the police to carry out standard procedures without excessive use of force. In this regard, we discussed the protection of all people involved", said Spasovski.

Earlier, the Interior Ministry said two people were injured, while 13 were detained.

The People's Office of President Gjorge Ivanov was demolished, while Justice Ministry windows were shattered during the incidents.
