The total of 70 publishing companies will take part in the 28th Book Fair that will have its grand opening on Monday evening at the Skopje Fair's Metropolis Arena.
Writers Rade Siljan and Saso Dimoski will open the fair.
The event will be open for visitors between April 12 and 18.
Organizers expect up to 40,000 visitors in what is usually one of the two largest fairs. Over 30 promotions of new books are planned during the event.
"The offer is going to be versatile, and will have something for everybody. Individual publishers will offer discounts of up to 70 percent on their books. Visitors will be able to attend many meetings with authors, book signings and literary readings", says Sanja Kondarko with the Skopje Fair.
Publishers from neighboring countries have also booked stands.
The Embassy of Sweden will present children's literature. Croatian motivational speaker Bruno Shimlesha will be a guest at the event on April 14.
