An emergency care unit has been opened in Skopje municipality Cucer-Sandevo, that will offer medical assistance to 20,000 residents.
This unit will substantially reduce the time for response of medical staff to citizens' calls for urgent medical care, Health Minister Nikola Todorov told reporters on Sunday.
This is the eight dispersed emergency unit, which offers services of general practitioner and will soon get a dentist, Todorov said.
Opening of dispersed emergency units is a result of one of the largest investments of Skopje Health Care Center. The project has doubled the number of emergency teams from 25 to 50, while a procedure for purchasing 12 ambulances is underway, Todorov said.
