After the Greek police on Tuesday tried to remove migrants from the rail tracks in Idomeni, a conflict occurred when the refugees began physically resist the police.
The Greek news agency said that clashes broke out Tuesday afternoon, when the police went out to cut short the blockade of the railway leading to the Macedonian border, which in the last 11 days is occupied by refugees and migrants seeking to open the border.
The demonstrators reacted violently when the police started the action and started throwing stones at the police officers.
The clashes happened after the police arrested a woman and placed her in a patrol car, after which the refugees attacked the police officers and pulled the woman from the car.
