The first Macedonian resident Ambassador to Brazil, Ivica Bocevski handed the letters of credentials to Acting President Michel Temer in a ceremony at the Presidential Palace.
The Embassy in Brasilia is the first Embassy Macedonia has opened in Latin America. During the ceremony, President Temer was accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Jose Sera, Secretary General of the Ministry Marcos Galvao and Fred Aruda, advisor to President Temer.
During the meeting, President Temer said that Brazil values the fact that Macedonia opened its first Latin American embassy in Brasilia.
The Acting President also welcomed the prospect of high level Macedonian visitors during the upcoming Rio Olympics. President Temer asked that this enhancement in bilateral relations between Macedonia and Brazil is used to increase trade and investment opportunities.
