SDSM supports the draft-law on media reforms of the journalist associations, thus the parliament group of SDSM and the coalition partners have submitted a draft-law on change to the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, in a short notice with a request for a snap Parliament session, said coordinator of the parliament group of SDSM, Goran Sugarevski.
According to Sugarevski, adopting, as well as implementing this law is exceptionally important and necessary.
"In order to provide conditions for fair and democratic elections, we must vote and constitute these new members of the Council of the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services and the Council of Macedonian Radio Television. The Law needs to be adopted, and completely implemented immediately, and go in effect during the early parliamentary elections," Sugarevski said.
The proposal of the journalist associations, he added, is in the direction of the proposals of the international community for the reforms in media which SDSM supports.
"The reforms in media for professional, truthful reporting to citizens are the key effort of SDSM, and one of the conditions for fair and democratic elections," Sugarevski stated.
