DUI leader Ali Ahmeti met Tuesday with Head of OSCE Mission to Skopje, Ambassador Nina Suomalainen, focusing on the latest political developments in Macedonia and the region.
Ahmeti said that after the cancellation of the April and June elections, the country should not be faced with repeated uncertainty that causes institutional instability. However, prior to talking about elections, parties should agree over the conditions for such elections and their participation in the process.
"The issues of the voters' list updating and media reforms can be solved efficiently if there are no obstructions from political parties", DUI leader added.
Regarding the Ohrid Framework Agreement, Ahmeti stressed that Macedonian political parties must overcome prejudices, especially when it comes to the official use of the Albanian language in compliance with the Constitution, DUI said in a press release.
