Violent storms have swept through central and eastern Poland bringing down power lines, flooding roads and leaving a trail of structural damage, Euronews reports.
Heavy rains have also caused widespread flooding and mudslides in southern Austria while towards the north there have been numerous power cuts. In Vienna the fire brigade has been stretched coping with flooded out residents.
