Struga and Kicevo are setting up municipal Economic Social Councils on Monday. The Councils will be tasked with consulting the municipal authorities and advising the Mayor and the city Council on issues such as economic development and welfare.
Mayors Zijadin Sela and Fatmir Dehari will sign the documents to form the Councils together with heads of the Association of Unions of Macedonia (SSM), the Association of Employers of Macedonia (ORM) and the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Macedonia (KSSM).
High school representatives, local NGOs and employment agency representatives will take part in the Councils.
Three such Councils have been set up so far in Resen, Veles and Sveti Nikole.
