After several postponements, the work groups of the 4 parties will hold a meeting Thursday with the members of the State Election Commission, at which the Electoral Roll will be discussed.
Even though the State Election Commission already concluded that the Electoral Roll is purged and ready before elections were supposed to happen on June 5, upon request by SDSM and the international factor the electoral roll will be checked again.
But, as SEC members claim, even though SDSM talks about revision of the electoral roll, it still does not offer any sort of suggestions on how this should be done.
Only president Aleksandar Cicakovski agrees with SDSM's demands, while the other SEC members do not.
SDSM has an issue with 130,000 voters that do not show up in any of the databases used for checkups, databases like the Health Insurance Fund, The National Bank of Macedonia, Public Revenue Office, etc.
Most of those voters are Albanian citizens who have passports with addresses of their place of birth and they only return home on election day to vote. SDSM demands that they be put in a special list, or to be considered Diaspora voters.
But, this is impossible since expatriates register for voting themselves in the countries where they reside, but they also keep the right to vote in their native country.
For SDSM, the 30,000 voters that were absent from their homes during the field checkup are also an issue. These voters cannot be pronounced suspicious straight away since the checkup was not obligatory and most of the citizens were absent from their homes during the checkup.
