Economic and Social Council endorsed the package of laws to implement the project "Macedonia employs 2", which provides employment for 15-20 thousand people. At the session, as was stated at a Wednesday’s press conference were discussed the latest amendments to the Law on employment and insurance in case of unemployment, the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance and the Health Insurance Law, which provides for extension of the project "Macedonia employs" for another year with benefits that were provided in the previous project "Macedonia employs".
"The package of laws is supported by all social partners in the social dialogue that is continually led with organizations of employers and workers' representatives. The unanimous adoption of a package of laws to implement the project "Macedonia employs 2" was because of the positive effects it can have in terms of employers or employers 'organizations, representatives of the interests of private companies and also in terms of workers' representatives, ie the unions", the Minister of labor and social policy Dime Spasov said.
According to him, the most positive effects are the greater assistance and the support to unemployed citizens or the vulnerable categories or groups of unemployed people that were less competitive on the labor market in the past and that with this legislative package of the project "Macedonia employs" they are given a greater support, a greater incentive for private companies to create new jobs and a great saving of funds for job creation.
"From 27 to 37 percent is the saving to for a new job of the paid gross salary, ie for every private company an average saving of about EUR 2000 annually for new job through the project "Macedonia employs", the Minister explained.
He added that this project will continue to contribute in reducing the gray economy.
