Germany has introduced new conditions for the refugees. According to the EU-Turkey deal, Germany is going to welcome 13,500 new refugees in the next two years, and an additional 1,600 Syrian refugees, who are currently situated in Turkey.
Representatives of the German Ministry of Interior Affairs claim that the refugees will be allowed in the country if only they fulfill the conditions, Kurdish media reported.
Spokesperson for the ministry, Harald Neymanns told online portal Rudav that the migrants who will receive permission for access need to be educated, speak foreign languages, and have a relative or other "sponsor", who owns a German passport. These conditions will not apply to older migrants and children, but the adults who have university education must meet the new criteria.
According to the new rules, which are not part of the German media reports, only people of war zones or other risk areas where their safety is endangered may come to Germany. Balkan countries are not considered dangerous zones, since they have been deemed safe countries.
According to the EU-Turkey deal, each illegal migrant who has entered Greece after March 20 will be deported back to Turkey, and then deported back to his motherland, provided there are no war activities or security threats for the returnees.
