Macedonia's Deputy Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Stevo Temelkovski opened Tuesday the final conference on integrated solid waste management in Southeast Europe.
The conference is organized by the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group in SEE. The project for solid waste management aims at assessing and developing models that are environmentally efficient and economically viable.
The objective is to reduce the negative environmental and economic effects of poor solid waste management, as well as give support to the environmental and social and economic development of crossborder rural and coastal areas in SEE.
