The entire territory of Macedonia will be gripped Sunday by a ‘yellow alert’ temperatures, with exception of the southeast region of Macedonia, i.e. Gevgelija, Kavadarci, Demir Kapija, Stip, Radovis and Strumica where 'orange alert' temperatures are expected.
The Ministry of Health advises the citizens to abide by general recommendations for heat wave conditions so as to be protected from the scorching temperatures.
They are advised to stay away from direct sunlight, to avoid any outdoor activities between 11 am and 5 pm, to consume cold dishes and drink refreshing beverages and to cook food in hygienic conditions. Chronically ill people should take medication as prescribed, it says.
