Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Saturday that relations between China and Serbia are deep and meaningful, adding that they are not only marked by friendship and cooperation, but also by common values, and China is ready to raise that level.
"We are ready to make every effort to strengthen the traditional friendship between the two countries which have been established by the older generations. We are ready together to further raise the level of friendly relations", Xi Jinping stressed before meeting with Serbian counterpart Tomislav Nikolic.
He stressed that "the two nations are peaceful, from generation to generation they struggle to preserve sovereignty, territorial integrity and security".
"Together, we will contribute to the preservation of world peace", Chinese President stressed.
