
Five leading Italian producers of woodworking machinery will take part in a presentation on Thursday in Skopje.
Pietro Boroni from the ACIMALL Italian association of producers of woodmachinery will hold the presentation that will also instruct small and medium Macedonian enterprises on the perspectives for investing in this industry.
Representatives from about 30 Macedonian companies are expected to take part in the presentation. Italy is the second largest producer of wood processing machines, with 270 companies and 9,000 employees in this department.
Macedonian wood processors include about a 1,000 companies with 6,400 employees, mostly in the business of making furniture, which has mounted to EUR 130 million in export in 2015. It's a growing export industry which has more than doubled since 2013.
