Extremism is on the rise in all the western Balkan countries, which is not good news, Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic stated for Belgrade TV b92.
"Such extremist attitudes are present in Europe too, and some governments are adopting the policies of those extemist groups in order to protect themselves from pressures. No matter the changes in attitude, I will not compromise when it comes to such ideas. That sort of politicking has cost Serbia greatly, Vucic stated.
He pointed out that looking into the past and remembering the conflicts would be a distaster for Serbia, and he added that he would not like to be the president of a government which 'would have to cooperate with the instigators of instability in the region.'
"We have long fought to make Serbia a pillar of stability in the region and to improve on the country's reputation. We must not allow for this to be torn down over night", Vucuc said.
