The Chamber of Enforcement Agents organized training for its members on the implement of the changes to the Law on Enforcement Procedures.
The new regulation enters into force on August 20, and these public agents who make sure contracts and sentences on outstanding debt and other issues are enforced are coordinating with attorneys and corporate lawyers to make the transition run smoothly.
"The new law will introduce improvements in the enforcement procedures, beginning with parties that have oustanding claims. They will be able to resolve claims on shorter notice and much more efficiently", said Zoran Petreski, President of the Chamber of Enforcement Agents.
Regarding the agents themselves, Petreski said, the law will protect them from being sued in cases when parties have not initially filed a complaint. These complaints will now be handled by specially appointed judges. Petreski added that the law will also prevent unfair competition among enforcement agents.
