"Since the budget for 2016 was prepared, the means to increase the social welfare by five percent were provided, so that the payment of this kind of assistance, that users will receive in early July will be increased by 5 percent. We are talking about 30,000 families that are receiving different types of social support - the leader of ruling party VMRO-DPMNE", Nikola Gruevski said, responding to a question on the promotion of books from the project for translation of 1,000 books.
He recalled that the social assistance during the reign of VMRO-DPMNE, as of 2007 until now, increased by about 62 percent.
"This will be a new increase that was promised in our program. It was provided when preparing the budget for this year and now with the payment in early July, the welfare recipients will get what they were promised and what they deserve, and this is a new five per cent increase in the social assistance", Nikola Gruevski said.
When it comes to this topic, he said, our main and primary strategy is attracting more investments and encouraging the domestic investors because of job creation.
"My theory is that the best social policy is the policy of job creation. That is why unemployment has declined. That is why the focus is on reducing unemployment, which decreased from 38 percent to about 24.5 percent by continued reduction and continuous job creation", President of VMRO-DPMNE said.
