German police has reported that a man shot with an air gun at a refugee camp in western Germany. A 5-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy were injured in the incident.
The attacker (21) shot out of the window of his apartment on the third floor, located at a 30 meter distance from the camp.
The girl's mother noticed that her daughter's leg is injured, while a witness saw the attacker wound the 18-year-old Syrian in the leg.
The police searched the attacker's apartment and there they found ammunition and an air gun. But, he was not arrested, since there are no legal grounds for doing so.
"It remains unclear whether the attacker was politically motivated," spokesman for the police stated.
