We will not allow Lesbos to turn into a new Alcatraz, Spyros Galinos, the island's Mayor said, criticizing the interview of Austrian Minister Sebastian Kurz for 'Presse'.
In it, the Austrian Minister suggests all migrant boats to be rerouted towards Lesbos, where there are already established migrant camps and where the migrants would reside until their asylum requests are processed.
The interview was harshly criticized by Austria's opposition parties and experts.
